Ms. Priyanthi Fernano currently serves as the Executive Director of the International Women’s Rights Action Watch-Asia Pacific (IWRAW-AP). She is an expert in gender issues and social development. Ms. Fernando has experience working in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Yemen, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia and UK. Ms. Fernando served as Executive Director for the Center for Poverty Analysis (CEPA) from 2005-2015, and also served as the Executive Secretary of the International Forum for Rural Transport and Development for a decade (from 1995)and the Country Director Sri Lanka of ITDG (now Practical Action).
