The Women's Education and Research Centre celebrated International Women’s Day 2024 through a stage performance on addressing violence against women. The stage performance was held under the project “Prevention of Violence Against Women through Stage Performances” funded by the Netherlands Embassy.

The event was graced by Her Excellency Bonnie Horbach, Ambassador to the Netherlands, who was Chief Guest of the event. The performance was an eye-opener to the gathering which included members of the public and the Yakkala Youth Corps Centre who discussed how to bring about a violence-free world during the post-event discussion.
