She is a Senior Lecturer of the Department of English at the University of Kelaniya. She is a professional English language teaching consultant who studied BA (honors) from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and MA in English Literature from the University of Reading in United Kingdom. She is an active member of the Sri Lanka Federation of University Women, SAARC Federation of University Women and Sri Lanka English Language Teachers’ Association (SLELTA).
