Nation, nationalism and ethnicity are indeed polemical constructs, sometimes imagined, sometimes historicised and sometimes politically and culturally grounded as emanating from lived experiences through and cross space and time. But how and to what extent they cross cut gender, creating new paradigms is a process that is undertaken in this publication by the various feminist scholars.
